BOSS Jason Tindall believes talented Jack Stacey is growing in confidence at Cherries and said: “He certainly feels at home now.”

The marauding wing-back has started every game of the Dorset club’s unbeaten start to life in the Championship – netting his first goal for the club against Blackburn last month.

Speaking about the 24-year-old, Tindall told the Daily Echo: “Jack’s a great lad, has got so much energy, he works hard every single day and he runs himself into the ground.

“I think he’s a lot more confident now. He knows he belongs here.

“When he first came, maybe it was a big step up for him going from League One to the Premier League.

“But the way he’s trained and in performances, he certainly feels at home now and he’s delivering consistent performances for us.”

Stacey has lined up as a right wing-back for Cherries this season, with Tindall primarily opting to field three central defenders.

Quizzed on whether the former Luton man could thrive in that role, the manager replied: “He likes playing in that position and I think it probably does get the best out of him.

“Stace is great getting forward but he doesn’t shirk the other side of the game.

“Stace wants to get up and down for 90 minutes. I think that position will probably get him more goals, or get him in areas where he can score more goals, and to attack and use his strength.”
