CHERRIES midfielder Philip Billing described as a “childhood dream” to finally make his senior Denmark debut – and is eyeing “many more” caps in the future.
The 24-year-old, who had played for the country’s under-19s and under-21s, featured for 72 minutes of his nation’s 4-0 victory over Faroe Islands in Herning.
A post on Billing’s Instagram account read: “Today a childhood dream became reality.
“A big honour to make my debut & get to represent my country. Hopefully many more to come.”
Goals from Andreas Skov Olsen, Christian Eriksen, Joakim Maehle and Andreas Corneluis sealed victory for the Danes.
Billing could be involved when Denmark make the trip to Iceland in the Nations League on Sunday.
