CHERRIES have rejected a bid from Torino for striker Joshua King, the Daily Echo understands.

The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, following the Dorset outfit’s relegation from the top flight.

But the Daily Echo understands the offer made by Italian side Torino was nowhere near the valuation put on the player by Cherries - and that, at the time of writing, nobody else has shown an interest in him apart from Torino.

Cherries also expect him to remain their player by the end of today’s international transfer deadline.

King missed the Dorset club’s 3-1 victory at Coventry on Friday with a migraine, having text the club doctor late in the afternoon to withdraw from Jason Tindall’s squad.

The Oslo-born frontman was subject to a transfer offer from Manchester United back in January, which Cherries rejected.
