CHERRIES are reportedly interested in Shamrock Rovers midfielder Jack Byrne.

The Irish Mirror claim the Dorset club are currently monitoring the Republic of Ireland international, who has been selected in his country’s squad for their upcoming international fixtures.

Byrne is not set to complete a move on deadline day today but is reportedly out of contract with Rovers at the end of the season.

Stoke City and Colorado Rapids are also set to be interested in the 24-year-old.

Byrne started playing football with St Kevin’s Boys - the same setup as Cherries midfielder Gavin Kilkenny.
