MANAGER Jason Tindall admitted Joshua King’s late withdrawal from Cherries’ squad had been “disruptive” but insisted: “We had to deal with that.”

The Cherries boss said the Norwegian striker had text the club doctor late in the afternoon ahead of the Dorset club’s Championship battle with Coventry City, informing him he had been suffering with a migraine.

Without King, Cherries sealed a 3-1 victory thanks to a double from Dan Gosling, as well as Jefferson Lerma’s first-half opener.

Asked whether King’s illness has been disruptive, Tindall told the Daily Echo: “I think yeah, it was disruptive, but he told the doc he had a migraine and was unable to play.

“We had to deal with that and we had to go with the rest of the players who were out there, I felt they performed extremely well.”

As well as missing the likes of Lloyd Kelly and Junior Stanislas through injury, Cherries confirmed Arnaut Danjuma missed the clash with the Sky Blues with a minor calf problem.

“It’s not too serious,” added Tindall, when asked about he Dutchman.

“It was a shame because Arnie has been in great form so far for us this season.

“He hadn’t trained all week, he went out there on Thursday and tried to train and see how he was. He felt discomfort after training, so we felt it was best if we didn’t put him at risk.”
