MANAGER Eddie Howe admitted he would “see what happens next” after Sunday’s survival showdown at Everton but insisted: “My commitment to the club has never changed.”

The Cherries boss has his full focus on trying to keep his side in the Premier League with victory over the Toffees at Goodison Park (4pm).

For that to happen, Cherries must beat the Blues and hope both Aston Villa and Watford lose to West Ham and Arsenal respectively.

But asked whatever happened at the weekend, whether he wanted to be at Cherries next season, Howe replied: “My commitment to the club has never changed, from day one.

“I do my best for the club and that will not change.

“We will go into Sunday, we will have a sit down at the end of the season, regardless of what happens, and see what happens next.”

Howe is keen to block out any “outside noise” surrounding the pivotal fixture – and will have his full focus on the contest regardless of what is going on elsewhere.

Asked whether he would be kept informed on events at Emirates or London Stadium, the boss replied: “Me personally, I will be engaged in the game. I am so focused on our game that there will be no thought of any other.

“We have to win this game to have any chance. I will put all of my energies into that. I am sure at some stage I will hear what’s happening elsewhere but we have to win regardless.

“That’s what I’ll be concentrating on.”

He added: “We have to do our bit first.

“If the two other results were to come out as we need and we don’t win – that would be another cruel twist – all self-inflicted from our side.

“That’s why we have to do what we can do and try to win the game.

“This is away from home against a good team, we are going to be good mentally first. We are going to have to put all the other noise out of the way and focus on the football match.”
