DAVID Brooks said all Cherries’ squad had wished Ryan Fraser well for the future but added: “He’s not really got anything to do with the rest of the season.”

The Scotland international declined a short-term deal to play out the rest of the campaign with Eddie Howe’s men.

Boss Howe confirmed last week Fraser had played his final game for the club.

And while playmaker Brooks remains good friends with the winger, he insisted it had been time to “move on” from the situation.

“I’m quite good friends with Ryan off the pitch,” he said.

“I don’t really want to speak too much on his situation.

“It’s his life, it’s his career. He’s obviously chosen his situation.

“The gaffer has made it clear that if you don’t want to be in it with us right to the very end, then you won’t play.

“Ryan has decided to move on his career. All the boys have wished him the best of luck.

“But he’s not really got anything to do with the rest of the season for Bournemouth now so we’ve got to pick ourselves up, move on and try to get out.”
