BASHLEY assistant manager Eddie Harper admitted he and boss Steve Riley had a "nice selection headache" because of their impressive striking options.

The Southern Premier Division club have a triumvirate of players all vying for a starting spot up front alongside hotshot hitman Richard Gillespie.

Jeremy Tarr is the man in possession after he excelled in last weekend's 2-1 league victory over Tiverton Town, but ex-Cherries forward Dave Town and youngster Ryan Moss are waiting in the wings ahead of tomorrow's FA Trophy third qualifying round home clash against Leatherhead (3pm).

"We played Jeremy Tarr up front on Saturday and he got man of the match. Mossy is back this Saturday and Dave Town is back available for selection," explained Harper.

"It's whether we stick with Richard Gillespie and Jez Tarr, or use Moss or Dave Town.

"Steve and I will have a chat ready for a decision on how we feel the game will pan out."

Harper admitted his side would be favourites "on paper" going into the match against Leatherhead, who play a level below Bash in the non-league pyramid and are down in 14th position in the Isthmian Division One South.

Despite their less than impressive league standing, Leatherhead boast a rich cup pedigree.

Chris Kelly's goals and bold predictions earned him the nickname of the Leatherhead Lip' back in 1975 when he fired the club to the fourth round of the FA Cup after superb wins over Colchester and Brighton along the way.

Victory tomorrow would not only put the winning team into the draw for the first round proper, it would also earn them £3,000 prize money.

While Bashley's striking resources are in plentiful supply, their defence has to make do without Gary Middleton and Matt Parnell, as Harper thinks both players now face an extended spell on the sidelines.

But centre-half Phil Archibald comes back into contention after a holiday.
