PUNDIT Jamie Redknapp believes David Brooks will help Cherries move out of the bottom three “if they’ve got him right”.

Brooks has not featured at all in the Premier League this season due to an ankle injury.

But the Wales playmaker was described as “fully fit” by skipper Simon Francis ahead of the return to top-flight action later this month.

And Redknapp believes the Warrington-born star could be a difference-maker for Eddie Howe’s men, should he return to his full capabilities.

He told Sky Sports: “The one I am sure Bournemouth fans and Eddie Howe will be delighted to have back is David Brooks.

“He is, I think alongside Jack Grealish, the best attacking player in the bottom six. He can make a difference to that team.

“I know what it’s like, it does take a bit of time when you come back from injuries.

“But if they’ve got him right, he is such an advantage and will certainly help Bournemouth get out of that bottom three.

“I think he’s a sensational young player.”

Redknapp himself made his league debut for Cherries at the age of 16 and appeared for the club 21 times in all competitions.

He went on to feature for Liverpool, Tottenham and Southampton as well as winning 17 senior caps for England.
