DAN Gosling revealed how baking, sorting out the garden and playing puppets with his daughters had helped keep him busy during lockdown.

The Cherries midfielder featured in Cherries’ most recent contest – a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on March 7.

But since the coronavirus outbreak and the top-flight’s suspension of fixtures, the former Plymouth youngster admits spending more time at home had been an eye-opener.

He told Sky Sports: "It's been a real insight!

“Overall, I've really enjoyed it. I've spoken to a few of the lads and they say home-schooling is proving difficult, but we don't have that.

“I'm playing puppets, hide-and-seek, making dens, all that sort of stuff!

"I've done a lot of baking, I've jet-washed the drive, I've dug up a bit of the garden and now I'm waiting on some grass seed to arrive, so we'll see how that goes. I've not had any time to sit there and twiddle my thumbs and be bored."

Gosling has been part of Eddie Howe’s squad since signing on a free from Newcastle in 2014.

"You take it for granted seeing the lads every day,” he added. “It's been tough and the longer it goes on, the more difficult it becomes to keep motivated and keep training."
