ADIE Arnold revealed he always felt someone was going to get a "hiding" from his Verwood Town side "sooner or later", with Amesbury Town the unfortunate opponents on Saturday.
Verwood, whose inconsistency has seen them fall away from the Division One promotion places in recent weeks, got back on form in resounding fashion, much to the delight of boss Arnold.
He said: "We know we've always had the ability but hadn't been putting the work rate in.
"But we showed desire and took our chances."
The goals were shared between Russel Dyer, Pete King, Dan Goodall, Paul Arnold and Luke Homer.
Victory puts the Potterne Park-based side up to sixth place and within touching distance of the leading pack.
Verwood Town: Willis, Elysee, Lynch, Giles (Newbury 65), Yerby, Homer, Reeves, Arnold, Dyer (Beverley 80), King (Truan 80), Goodall.
