CHRISTCHURCH are into the Russell-Cotes Cup semi-finals after cruising past Brockenhurst 4-0 at Hurn Bridge.

Priory squandered a golden opportunity to take the lead inside three minutes as Badgers goalkeeper James Mayo made a save to thwart the hosts from the penalty spot.

But Ollie Cherrett's men were two goals ahead by half-time after strikes from Ashley Pope and Louis Kellaway within five minutes of each other.

And the win was sealed after the break as Kyle Graham danced through the Brock defence before slotting in.

There was time for a fourth at the death thanks to Max Wilcock.

Christchurch will face either Alton, Lymington Town, Sholing or Bemerton Heath Harlequins in the last four.

In Wessex Premier, Bashley pulled off an impressive 2-0 win at leaders AFC Stoneham.

Bash, who jump up to seventh with the win, took the lead early in the second half through Harry McGrath.

And they added a second with nine minutes remaining thanks to Harry Morgan's deflected 25-yard strike.

A host of other league and cup fixtures were called off due to waterlogged pitches across the county.
