WIMBORNE Town suffered their heaviest defeat of the season with a 5-0 thrashing at Weston-super-Mare.
Danny Holmes's side went into the Southern League South contest on a two-match winning run, but were swept aside at the Optima Stadium.
Weston wasted little time in getting in front, taking the lead on 15 minutes when James Waite poked in from close-range.
The lead was quickly doubled as Dan Martin raced away before teeing up Sam Hendy to turn past an advancing Cameron Plain in the Wimborne goal.
And it was 3-0 by half-time as Waite finished from the penalty spot after Fatah Makhloufi brought down Isaac Pearce.
Sam Bayston and Luke Burbidge looked to reply for Magpies as well as Tony Lee, but the visitors could not find a breakthrough.
Further goals did follow for Weston as Waite slotted in for his hat-trick before a late Ryan Jones effort.
Wimborne sit 15th in the table and host Farnborough on Saturday (3pm).
Magpies: Plain, Wells, Davidson, Poole, Byrne (Penny, 70), Diaz, Doe (Young, 77), Makhloufi, Burbidge, Bayston (Shepherd, 64), Lee.
Unused sub: Stokoe.
