IN-FORM Alex Dobre continued his goalscoring form with another strike for Cherries under-21s as they saw off Bristol Rovers in the Central League Cup this afternoon.
The Romanian, who was an unused substitute for the first team during Monday night's FA Cup clash with Arsenal, skipped around goalkeeper Alexis Andre-Jr late on to secure a 2-0 victory, adding to an earlier Kyle Taylor strike.
Victory puts Shaun Cooper's men into the semi-finals of the competition they won last season.
Gavin Kilkenny and Jordon Ibe were also part of a strong starting XI for Cherries for the clash at Yate Town.
But the game remained goalless at the break with Will Dennis denying Sam Matthews, while Tyler Cordner headed Cherries' best chance wide, after a Kilkenny corner.
Ibe's free-kick was saved just before half-time as Rovers held firm.
And the deadlock was finally broken midway through the second half following a neat team move as Ibe fed Dobre, who teed up Taylor to slot home from six yards out.
The victory was sealed in the closing minutes as Jordan Zemura won possession and picked out Dobre, who did the rest.
Cherries: Dennis, Gillela, Jordan, Cordner, Sherring, Zemura, Kilkenny, Taylor, Ibe, Dobre, Hamilton.
Subs: Hanfrey, O'Connell, Murray, Pollock, Terrell (g/k).
