AARON Ramsdale has “come through all the tests so far” as he battles to be fit for Cherries’ crunch clash at Norwich today, according to boss Eddie Howe.

The goalkeeper had featured in every Premier League contest this term, until missing last weekend’s defeat to Watford due to a hamstring injury suffered in training on the eve of the contest, with Mark Travers deputising.

Asked for an update on the fitness of Ramsdale ahead of the trip to Carrow Road (3pm), Howe told the Daily Echo: “Aaron’s done some light training this week.

“You’re always wary when it’s a hamstring problem, how hard we push him. But he’s come through all the tests so far.”

Howe also confirmed that both Nathan Ake and Adam Smith, who returned from hamstring and ankle problems respectively for the clash against Watford, had no fresh concerns.

He also hopes to have midfielder Jefferson Lerma available, after the Colombian came off against the Hornets following a clash of knees with Abdoulaye Doucoure.

Howe said: “Jeff’s okay. He’s been a bit sore, a few bumps and bruises, but he should be okay.”
