BOSS Eddie Howe admitted Cherries “have to do better” to rediscover their creative, free-scoring edge.

The Dorset club have netted just twice in their past eight Premier League contests, with midfielder Dan Gosling firing against both Chelsea and Arsenal.

Drawing blank in their past three league games means no club has now scored fewer goals than Cherries in the division this season.

They have struck 20 times from 22 games, the same goal return as Watford and Crystal Palace.

Howe, whose side visit rock-bottom Norwich on Saturday (3pm), said: “Part of our creativity has been missing with some of the players that haven’t been available, but we have to do better in that respect.

“That’s probably been our biggest challenge, because historically we’ve always been free-scoring, we’ve always had goals in us.

“We’ve always had the ability, even if we concede the first goal, to come back and win games.

“That’s probably where the feeling has gone missing – the creativity, the feeling we are going to score – is so important to any team.

“You need to have that belief in you.”
