FIT-AGAIN Junior Stanislas admits to feeling "mixed emotions" as his return from injury coincides with Cherries dropping into the Premier League's relegation zone.

Following an eight-month absence, Stanislas made his comeback from hamstring and knee problems to start in the 2-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday, and played 45 minutes of the 4-0 thumping at West Ham on New Year's Day.

"It's mixed emotions I guess," the winger told the Daily Echo.

"It's good to be back on the pitch, but when we're not winning games and not particularly playing well, it's not a good feeling for anyone, even myself. "In the coming weeks and games, hopefully things will change."

Cherries have netted just twice in seven matches, both goals coming from midfielder Dan Gosling.

Asked if he feels he could be the man to help boost the attack, Stanislas said: "I'd like to think so. But it's a team game, we stick together.

"We've got to help out the defence but also try and help out the attack as well.

"Hopefully I can chip in with a few assists and a few goals and get us moving the right way in the table."
