BOSS Eddie Howe revealed he would have to make a late call on Adam Smith for tomorrow’s important Premier League clash at Crystal Palace (7.30pm).

The Cherries full-back missed Saturday’s 3-2 defeat at Tottenham through Illness, having been sick on the morning of the game.

Jack Stacey deputised for Smith on that occasion, with Howe set to assess the situation ahead of the contest tomorrow.

Asked whether Smith would be ready to return, Howe told the Daily Echo: “We’ll wait and see, we’ll have to make a late call.

“Adam was sick on the morning of the game.

“We lost him, we haven’t seen him since, so we’ll have to make a late call to see how he is.”

With his squad stretched, Howe named youngsters Gavin Kilkenny and Christian Saydee on the bench for the encounter with Spurs.

He also revealed winger Jordon Ibe was unavailable for selection through illness.

“That was illness unfortunately for Jordon,” when asked about the former Liverpool man’s absence.

“Jordon’s had a week-long illness. We didn’t see him at all last week so we’re hoping he’ll be back better soon.”

Philip Billing and Simon Francis are available for selection for Cherries after serving their respective one-match bans.
