CHERRIES frontman Callum Wilson lifted the lid on his process of dealing with transfer speculation and insisted: “I don’t really listen to it”.

The England international last week was identified as a “key target” for Manchester United, according to a report from ESPN.

But speaking to versus.uk.com, the former Coventry star revealed he was “committed” to his contract at Cherries, having penned a fresh four-year deal in the summer.

Asked whether he ever checked on transfer rumours, Wilson said: “I usually find out by people reading stuff and coming up to me! I’m just kind of like ‘you know as much as me’.

“I don’t really listen to it. I don’t read papers and I don’t read Twitter feeds about transfer rumours. I tend to just focus on myself.

“I’ve signed a contract at Bournemouth so I’m committed there. I try not to let anything like that affect my game.”

Wilson is expected to be part of Eddie Howe’s squad for Saturday’s home clash with Wolverhampton.

The 27-year-old has not scored in five appearances against the Molineux outfit in all competitions.

He did however register two assists when Cherries beat Wolves 2-1 at home while in the Championship, in March 2015.
