BRAD Smith says he is open to the idea of returning to Cherries following the culmination of his loan spell at Seattle Sounders.
The defender, 25, concluded his 15-month loan stay by helping Sounders lift the MLS Cup with victory over Toronto FC last weekend.
And despite having only featured 11 times during his two years at Cherries before moving to Seattle, Smith is ready to discuss the possibility of being reintegrated into the squad.
He told Australian Associated Press: "There's always a chance in football. Things change very quickly and ultimately me going out on loan and getting game time is important for me and important for Bournemouth as well.
"I've kind of got into form and proved I'm still a player.
"I'll go back and sit down and maybe he (manager Eddie Howe) wants me in his plans and if that's the case then I'm happy to be a part of it and be there."
The report claims Smith received "messages of support from Bournemouth teammates and manager Eddie Howe before and after the trophy win" last week.
Australia international Smith signed for Cherries from Liverpool for £3million in 2016.
