CO-PROMOTER Danny Ford urged Pirates’ riders to remind supporters “what they’re really capable of” in their season finale against King’s Lynn.

The sides are tomorrow set to lock horns to complete the Southern Group standings of the Premiership Supporters’ Cup – despite Swindon having already beaten Belle Vue in the final of the competition.

Ford saw Pirates squander a 10-point first-leg lead against Ipswich in the SGB Premiership semi-final last time out – going down to a 54-36 defeat at Foxhall to lose 94-86 on aggregate.

He told the club website: “It was a disappointing night at Ipswich but we’ve had time to reflect on it now and I want the boys to remind our supporters what they’re really capable of.

“We’re hoping to have a big crowd in, so I’m looking forward to seeing the riders remind everyone what they’re really all about.”

The club are set to hold a post-meeting press conference following the clash with the Stars.

Pirates’ one-to-seven and club management are set to be in attendance, supporters will be able to pitch questions.

Each rider’s 2019 race jacket will be signed and auctioned off after the press conference.

Pirates have announced reduced admission prices for the meeting, with an adult ticket costing £15 and children under-12 going free.
