DANNY Ford has called for "one final push" from Poole as they seek to secure the SGB Premiership top spot tomorrow.

Pirates are currently second in the table after Monday's 51-39 win over Ipswich, two points behind Swindon, but have a meeting in hand which comes at King's Lynn in the final regulation fixture of the season (7.30pm).

Victory would see Poole top the pile and get their pick of semi-final play-off opponents ahead of Monday's scheduled showdown at Wimborne Road.

And co-promoter Ford is eager for his side to clinch the number one spot.

He told the club website: "It's been a long season and the boys have put in so much effort already, but we need one final push now to get that win that will see us finish top.

"I thought we were excellent from one to seven against Ipswich and that kind of performance will be what's needed in the play-offs."

Already out of the chase for a top four place, King's Lynn are set to name a changed lineup at Adrian Flux Arena.

Chris Harris, who scored 8+1 for Ipswich on Monday, will guest for the Stars in place of Michael Palm Toft, while they will run rider replacement for Thomas Jorgensen.

Poole are set to name a full one-to-seven.

Pirates: Brady Kurtz, Nico Covatti, Nicolai Klindt, Josh Grajczonek, Jack Holder, Thomas H Jonasson, Ricky Wells. Stars: Robert Lambert, Rider replacement, Erik Riss, Chris Harris, Craig Cook, Lewis Kerr, Josh MacDonald.
