EMERSON Hyndman's early goal helped Atlanta United seal a first international trophy in the club's history.
The Cherries loanee rounded off a neat move from the Five Stripes in the fifth minute against Mexican outfit Club America in the Campeones Cup.
The trophy pits the champions of MLS against Mexico's top team and Hyndman's strike set Atlanta on the way to a 3-2 victory at their home stadium of Mercedes-Benz Arena in Georgia.
Club America battled back from behind to lead 2-1 with goals from Renato Ibarra and Roger Martinez, either side of Josef Martinez missing a penalty for the hosts.
But the Atlanta man put the setback behind him to net the winning goal, after Jeff Larentowicz had equalised.
Hyndman has now scored two goals in nine appearances for Frank de Boer's Atlanta since joining Cherries on loan in July.
The MLS side have the option to make the midfielder's loan move permanent in December.
