CHERRIES have sealed their fourth signing of the summer after snapping up Club Brugge’s Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld.

The club have finalised a deal worth £13.7million for the Holland international, who last night passed a medical ahead of completing the move.

Winger Danjuma has followed in the footsteps of Lloyd Kelly, Jack Stacey and Philip Billing as new recruits at Vitality Stadium this summer.

Danjuma impressed during his first season at Brugge in 2018-19, having made the switch from Dutch outfit NEC Nijmegen.

Lining up on the left flank of a five-man midfield, the exciting winger hit the headlines in October when he unleashed an unstoppable right-foot strike past Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak in the group stages of the Champions’ League.

He scored six goals and registered four assists in 25 games with the Belgian outfit, despite being ruled out of 18 Jupiler Pro League games with an ankle injury.

Danjuma’s sparkling form earned him a call-up to Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands squad in October.

He played 22 minutes of a UEFA Nations League clash with Germany, a game in which Cherries star Nathan Ake also came off the bench.

Three days later, he netted his first international goal in a 1-1 draw with Belgium having started on the left side alongside Ake.

Reports in January claimed the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton had been tracking the Nigeria-born star – Italian giants AC Milan reportedly had a bid of £9million rejected.
