DAN Cook’s sublime 133 not out paved the way for Broadstone’s emphatic 110-run win over Dorset Premier League rivals Martinstown.
Number three Cook found himself in with just 13 on the board at Delph Woods and batted through the innings as the hosts posted 259 for eight batting first.
The sensational knock came from just 123 deliveries and included 20 fours and two maximums.
Visitors Martinstown never looked like getting anywhere near their victory target in reply, mainly thanks to the brilliance of Broadstone’s Adam Fowler-Watt.
The opening bowler returned stunning figures of six for 27 from his 10 overs as the west Dorset side were skittled out for just 149 in reply.
Broadstone remain in the hunt for the league title. They sit third – 14 points behind leaders Dorchester.
