DANNY Ford has heaped praise on Pirates duo Josh Grajczonek and Nicolai Klindt.

As injury continues to ravage the Poole side, with four of their septet absent from Thursday's night's win at Ipswich, Grajczonek and Klindt have been the only two to stay fit throughout.

And they have delivered on track too with the pair regular scoring a combined 20 points, including during the 48-42 success at Foxhall Stadium, which fired Pirates back to the top of the SGB Premiership.

Asked about the impact of Klindt and captain Grajczonek, Ford told the Daily Echo: "Obviously this year we've needed those two more than ever because Jack (Holder) and Brady (Kurtz) have both had their injury problems and I can't speak highly enough of those two.

"They're really having absolutely phenomenal seasons. Josh especially, he just seems like a completely different rider.

"Something just seems to have clicked for him.

"He seems to be scoring amazing points. He had a difficult start to the season last year but towards the end his form started to pick up and he seems to have taken that form and just ran with it.

"He's a different rider, it's absolutely fantastic. He's full of confidence and he's riding like it."
