EDDIE Howe believes his Cherries players "will enjoy what we deliver" during this summer's pre-season schedule.

Howe's squad returned from their break for testing on Saturday before training began for many players yesterday.

A second group, including new recruit Lloyd Kelly, have been given extended time off having spent the summer on international duty and are not yet back at Vitality Stadium.

Howe will take his side for a week-long training camp in La Manga from next Wednesday, while Cherries have six friendlies arranged with Lazio and Lyon among the opponents.

Discussing the activities of his squad over the summer, the Cherries boss said: "I trust my players to come back fit and ready, whether that is with work in the gym or playing different sports.

"Whatever they do, it's making sure their body fat is low and their minds and bodies are in a good place to attack what will be a tough pre-season.

"There are slight tweaks on our pre-season already that we have put in place.

"I am confident that the players will enjoy what we deliver."
