BOSS Eddie Howe heaped praise on versatile Nathan Ake and insisted he switched positions with “no fuss”.
The Dutch defender, a regular centre-half for the Dorset club, has filled in at both full-back and midfield in recent weeks.
He partnered Jefferson Lerma in midfield during Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham, scoring the winning goal with a stoppage-time header.
The former Feyenoord youngster could again line up in that position for Sunday’s Premier League finale at Crystal Palace (3pm).
Quizzed on Ake’s adaptability, Howe told the Daily Echo: “When you consider the past two games I think we have moved him about four or five positions – that’s the importance and the quality of the player.
“He does it with no fuss, no attitude and with no frustration.
“It’s not ideal that we have moved him all these different positions but against Tottenham I thought he was excellent in midfield.
“When you see a player who gives everything, no matter where he has played, it was fitting he got the goal at the end and it was a crucial goal.”
