BOSS Eddie Howe revealed striker Dominic Solanke would not feature again for Cherries this season – but should be fit for England under-21s’ European Championship finals.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea frontman sustained a hamstring injury after coming off the bench for Cherries’ 3-3 draw at Southampton last month.
He did not feature in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Tottenham and is ruled out of Sunday’s Premier League season finale against Crystal Palace.
But Howe insists the injury is not serious and Solanke will be fit for the Young Lions’ Group C opener against France in Cesena on June 18.
Asked whether Solanke’s injury could be a concern for the tournament in Italy and San Marino, Howe replied: “There will be no concern, I think he will be right. We will get him fit in no time.
“It’s just frustrating for him that, since he has come in, he’s picked up a couple of these muscle injuries, which has just restricted his progress.”
The Cherries boss also confirmed Dan Gosling would not feature again this campaign after picking up a calf problem. David Brooks “may play” at Palace.
