BOSS Eddie Howe admitted he felt Eric Dier should have been sent off in Cherries’ 1-0 victory over Tottenham at Vitality Stadium.
The England midfielder was cautioned by referee Craig Pawson after 11 minutes, following a rash challenge on Ryan Fraser.
And Pawson waved play on after Dier brought down Joshua King to thwart a Cherries’ counter attack 10 minutes before half-time.
Spurs, who took off Dier at the break, had Son Heung-Min and Juan Foyth sent off either side of the interval.
Asked whether he felt Dier could have gone for two bookable offences, Howe replied: “It’s difficult for me to sit here on the back of two red cards and go ‘well I’m disappointed there wasn’t another one’ but the reality is yes, I think there possibly should have been!
“But I feel slightly cheeky doing it.”
