CHERRIES have announced a friendly clash against Brentford as part of their pre-season preparations for the 2019-20 campaign.

Eddie Howe's men are set to travel to Griffin Park on Saturday, July 27 (3pm).

Defender Chris Mepham could be given the opportunity to face his former side after joining the Dorset club from the Championship outfit in the January transfer window.

The Wales international joined Brentford's academy at the age of 16 and progressed through to the first team, making his debut in January 2017.

Cherries' most recent game against the Bees came in February 2015, when they lost 3-1 in London.

Howe's side will launch their fifth season in the Premier League over the weekend of August 10, with fixtures being announced at 9am on Thursday, June 13.

Ticket details for the Brentford friendly will be confirmed by Cherries in due course.
