BOURNEMOUTH Electric opened a three-point lead at the top of the Hayward Saturday Premier Division after Jolyn May scored the vital goal in their 1-0 win over AFC Burton.

Championship rivals Hamworthy Recreation netted through Ollie Bennett, Luke Phillips and a couple of goals from Joe Bennett.

But they had to settle for a point when Clive Makoni’s hat-trick and a Joel Drew strike earned Bournemouth University a 4-4 draw.

Bisterne United led at the interval but reigning champions Bournemouth Manor equalised after the break through substitute Brad Aspin.

And Manor climbed to third place in the table on goal difference after Terry Foote’s four-goal blast clinched a 5-1 victory.

Bournemouth Manor reserves led with a couple of goals from Liam Carpenter in Division One but Gotham came back to win 6-2 thanks to Adam Louka’s hat-trick and further goals from Paul Blenman (2) and Lee Pearson.

Ryan Hamm was the four-goal star of Bransgore United’s 5-1 triumph over Portcastrian.
