CHARLIE Seaman revealed how his hard work on free-kicks paid off after helping Cherries progress in the Hampshire Senior Cup.
The attack-minded right-back netted a double, which included a swerving free-kick from 30 yards out in the Dorset club’s 3-1 win at Wessex League Horndean.
Cherries’ other strike came from Frank Vincent.
Seaman told the club’s Twitter: “That’s my second free-kick of the season. You just try to get it on target and you never know what’s going to happen.
“I practise almost every day and I have the trust to take them. I just hope they go in when I do.”
Shaun Cooper’s side are set to visit Sholing in the last eight on Tuesday (7.45pm).
“It would be nice to get some silverware,” added Seaman. “We are into the quarter-final so hopefully we can push on and win a final.”
