DOMINIC Solanke stepped up his recovery from a hamstring problem with Cherries in an individual training session.

The 21-year-old joined the Dorset club last week from Liverpool for a fee understood to be around £17.5million, with add-ons potentially increasing that figure.

However, boss Eddie Howe revealed the striker would be ruled out for at least the majority of January due to an injury.

Solanke could miss the Premier League clashes with Everton, West Ham and Chelsea.

Speaking after the FA Cup defeat to Brighton, Howe said: “Dominic will miss most of January because he’s got a bit of a hamstring issue.

“It will be more February before we’re likely to see him in action but we knew about that because he’s been through all the medicals and checks."

Solanke worked away from the rest of the Cherries squad on the training pitches next to Vitality Stadium.
