A DOUBLE from Cameron Beard secured a 2-1 victory for Bashley against Wessex Premier rivals AFC Portchester.
Beard's efforts, which came either side of Steve Ramsey's penalty, ended a run of five league games without a win and lifted Bash to 12th in the table.
Christchurch came from a goal down to earn a point at home to Cowes Sports, with Max Wilcock scoring for Priory.
In Wessex One, New Milton Town ended a run of 13 defeats with a 2-0 victory at Alton. Goals from Jake Carswell and Erickson Mukambi secured three points for Linnets.
Ringwood Town fell to a 1-0 defeat at East Cowes Victoria.
Ollie Davis's effort ensured Hamworthy United remained in the FA Vase against Hamble Club after a 1-1 draw.
The sides meet in a third-round replay at the County Ground tomorrow, while Poppies travel to Blackfield & Langley in the third round of the Hampshire Senior Cup. Horndean host Cherries on Wednesday (all 7.45pm).
In transfer news, former Poole and Wimborne defender Lewis Tallack has returned to Blackfield. Midfielder Dan O'Sullivan, an ex-Cherries youngster, has joined Bashley from Shaftesbury.
