JUNIOR Stanislas described as “very poor” Cherries’ display against Norwich despite progressing to the last eight of the Carabao Cup.
The winger struck the opening goal during the 2-1 victory over the Canaries.
Cherries had fewer shots on target and less possession than their Championship opposition. But Eddie Howe’s men managed to equal their best performance in the competition after Steve Cook’s second-half winner.
Stanislas said: “We have to do better but at least we are in the next round.
“Norwich were very good on the night. We helped them because we were very poor ourselves but the main thing is we won the game.
“The only positive thing for me personally was scoring. It is hard to take positives from that performance from every one of us.”
Stanislas took to four goals his tally for Cherries this season, having netted in the Carabao Cup, Premier League and Hampshire Senior Cup.
“We are happy to be going through,” he said.
“We have a couple of games before we can think about Wembley.
“We enter every competition trying to go as far as we can so we will be looking to progress.”
