QUEEN’S Park Athletic paid tribute to their chairman Ben Scott, who recently passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest while at work.

Athletic wore black arm bands and observed a minute’s applause before their Hayward Saturday League Division One fixture with AFC Burton reserves.

Skipper JJ Rayner then gave Athletic an early lead and they maintained their perfect record with a convincing 5-0 victory thanks to Luke Hughes, Martin Smith and a double from Tom Pepper.

Bournemouth Electric reserves also have maximum points. They lead the table on goal difference from Queen’s Park after toppling former leaders Portcastrian 7-2.

Mustapha Jagne and Tony Bellot bagged two each for the Sparkies with Abraham Adesoji, Luke McCoy and Kingsley Korang also on target. Harry Gibson scored both goals for Ports.

Bournemouth Manor reserves complete the quartet on nine points at the top of the table.

Dan Parker and Will Foster gave them the edge with goals in a 2-1 win against Fordingbridge Turks, who replied through Tom Goddard.

In the other Division One game, Matt Vining struck twice in Milford’s 3-0 success against Bournemouth Sports with the other goal coming from Jack Burden.

Westover Bournemouth’s perfect Premier Division record went up in smoke at the hands of Hamworthy Recreation.

Westover netted through Jack Barton and a couple of goals from Kyle Graham but their hopes were dashed as Sean Read and Joe Bennett scored two apiece for Rec to win 4-3 and go six points clear at the summit.

Ben Mowlam struck twice and Dan Knox scored for Parley Sports but Bisterne United opened their points account when Jack Gibbs, Timo Gleed and Matthew Harrison earned them a 3-3 draw.

Gotham reserves maintained their lead at the top of Division Two thanks to Alex Hawey’s winner against Ringwood United. John Bailey scored the other two Gotham goals in a 3-2 triumph, while Ringwood replied through James Barwood and Kieran Burnett.

Westover Bournemouth reserves remain a point behind in second after Callum Burt, Callum Palfrey, Mark Trusler and Carl James ensured a 4-1 victory over Cherry Bees, who replied through Stewart Humphreys.

Justin Keeler notched a hat-trick when third-placed New Milton Eagles hammered FC Barolo 6-1.

Lee Gilbert, Shaun Waterman and Jon Spooner added a goal apiece. Jake Newton scored Barolo’s consolation effort.

Brad Aspin was the four-goal hero in Bournemouth Manor’s 8-3 demolition of Romsey Town reserves in the first round of the Hampshire Intermediate Cup.

Shane Barney, Terry Foote, Darren Spiers and Mark Wheeler also got their names on the scoresheet as Manor comfortably progressed.

Bournemouth Electric are through after Ian Musselwhite and Nathan Charles scored the goals to edge them past Southampton University 2-1.

But strikes from Levi Ridealgh and Jamie Trimble were not enough to save AFC Burton from a 3-2 defeat against United Services Portsmouth reserves.

Paul Blenman led the way with a hat-trick as Gotham hammered Burley 7-1 in the first round of the Hampshire Junior A Cup.

Stuart Marshall bagged a brace with Joe Bond and an own goal rounding off the scoring.
