POOLE’S Kacper Woryna justified his wild card for the final round of the Speedway European Championship with a terrific showing in Chorzow.
Roared on by his home supporters, the Polish star racked up 12 points in five qualifying rides to qualify directly for the final.
He lowered the colours of the likes of Krzysztof Kasprzak, Peter Kildemand and Antonio Lindback along the way.
In the final, Woryna finished third behind Leon Madsen, with Lindback second and Jaroslaw Hampel fourth.
Madsen won the overall crown ahead of Hampel and Britain’s Robert Lambert.
It was Woryna’s second appearance in an SEC round having scored six points when a wild card at Rybnik two years ago.
