POOLE Comets brought home no fewer than nine medals – including four gold – from the British Championship.
Macie Schmidt successfully defended her women’s title, heading off strong opposition to finish with a 19-point score.
She now holds a hat-trick of prestigious championships, with the British crown added to her world and European triumphs.
Natalie Goulden was unbeaten en route to under-10 girls glory, while brother Nathan achieved the same feat in the under-14 boys.
Daisy Sherwood took gold in the under-12 girls’ event after a run-off with Exeter’s Shannon Tucker, while Lexie Curtis sealed bronze.
Kenzie Bennett kept the Comets flag flying with 18 points in the under-12 boys’ final – a haul which earned him silver.
Maddie Saunders was the busiest of the Poole racers and she grabbed silver in the under-14 girls and the under-16 girls.
Ben Mould won a run-off to snatch second in the British Open Championship.
