VERWOOD Town had Dan Goodall and Dan Fawcett to thank as they continued their charge up the Division One table.
Goodall struck the game's only goal at Stockbridge to send Adie Arnold's men up to fifth position.
But it was at the other end where most of the action took place in the latter stages, with Verwood keeper Fawcett earning the praise of his man-ager.
"Dan Fawcett made three outstanding saves in the second half when the onslaught came," said Arnold.
"When they broke us down he pulled off three saves - he was pleased to keep a clean sheet."
Verwood: Fawcett, Yerby, Lynch, King, Homer, Dyer, Faulkner, Reeves (Freeman 30), Arnold, Elysee, Goodall. Unused subs: Giles, Beverley.
