Remedy Oak's newest star recruit Henni Brockway flies the Dorset flag in next week's PING Junior Solheim Cup in Sweden.

The 17-year-old won her place in the European team by winning the final qualifying event - the British Girls Championship - last month.

Brockway is one of just two English players in the team of 12 to play the United States on Tuesday and Wednesday at Bastad.

The tournament is played just two days before the main event - The Solheim Cup - which is held at nearby Halmstad.

The plus-three handicapper is hotly-tipped to become the next big thing in sport' when she turns professional next year.

She became the youngest Dorset champion at just 13-years-old and also won the under-13 and under-15 national titles.

The former Gillingham schoolgirl, who is also a member at Yeovil, practises every day at Remedy Oak, near Horton, when she is not competing.

"Playing at Remedy is ideal preparation for such a big event," said Brockway. "It's got to be up with the best, if not the best. It's an amazing course, there isn't one forgettable hole and you've got to focus on each one of them."

Current European Tour players Gary Emerson and Richard Bland are also Remedy Oak members.

The Junior Solheim Cup event is a two-day competition featuring three sets of matches.

On the first day the four-ball and foursome matches will take place, leaving the 12 singles matches for the final day.

DORSET DUO'S SWISS MISS BOURNEMOUTH'S Lee James and Shaun Webster both failed to make the halfway cut in the European Masters in Switzerland.

James added a much-improved one-under-par 70 to his first-round 77 but still missed out by three shots.

Webster finished a further shot adrift after rounds of 79 and 69.
