CHERRIES are interested in signing Leganes defender Diego Rico, according to reports.
Spanish newspaper Marca claim the Dorset club are interested in the 25-year-old left-back.
The Mirror reports the Spaniard “is in line to head to the south coast this summer” with Cherries “making a £5million move”.
Rico made 109 first-team appearances for Real Zaragoza before switching to Leganes in 2016.
He played 33 times in all competitions for Los Pepineros last season, as they finished 17th in La Liga.
The Mirror also claims Cherries “plan to sell Tyrone Mings to Nottingham Forest and replace him with Rico after opening talks over a fee”.
Sky Sports News have also linked Rico with a move to Vitality Stadium but understand the Dorset club “are yet to make a formal offer”.
Meanwhile, Sky also understand Cherries "remain interested" in a deal for Levante midfielder Jefferson Lerma.
The Colombian international played 62 minutes against England during the last-16 World Cup clash in Russia.
Cherries striker Jermain Defoe has also been linked with a move to Scottish Premiership Rangers, according to the Scottish Sun.
The publication reports "Eddie Howe could sanction a loan deal" for the 35-year-old.
