DORSET star Georgia Hall will tomorrow tee it up as part of a star-studded field for the first women’s major of the season.
The Wimborne-based professional will compete alongside the top players in the world at the ANA Inspiration at Mission Hills Country Club in California.
Played for since 1972 and having become one of the five women’s majors in 1983, a prize fund of £1,979,092 is at stake for the 118 competitors.
Ranked 34th in the world, former Canford Kid Hall will be looking to bounce back after last week missing the cut on the LPGA Tour for the first time this season.
Rounds of 72 and 76 left her kicking her heels for the weekend at the Kia Classic in Carlsbad near San Diego.
Hall previously played at the event as an amateur in 2013 when it was known as the Kraft Nabisco Championship with scores of 79 and 75 leaving her outside the cut line.
Last year’s champion So Yeon Ryu returns to defend her title, alongside 10 other past champions.
