CHERRIES boss Eddie Howe expects Simon Francis to be in contention for tomorrow's Premier League trip to Arsenal.
Francis has missed Cherries' past two top-flight fixtures after sustaining a hamstring injury in the opening-day defeat at West Brom.
But Howe revealed the progress made by the 32-year-old would be likely to throw him into the mix for selection at Emirates Stadium.
Howe said: "Simon Francis should be in contention to play.
"I've been really pleased with his rehab. Hamstring injuries are really tough to predict but he's passed all the tests we expect of our players at that stage of their injury.
"He's our captain and a huge player for us, and we're really pleased to have him back."
