GOALKEEPER Asmir Begovic is tipping Cherries youngster Aaron Ramsdale to have a “big future in the game”.
The 19-year-old joined Cherries from Sheffield United in January for a fee believed to be around £800,000.
Ramsdale showed his talent when he helped England secure glory at the European Under-19 Championship in Georgia in July.
Described by Eddie Howe as being “one of the most talented young goalkeepers in the country”, Ramsdale has received high praise from Begovic, who has enjoyed working with the teenager since his move from Chelsea in the summer.
Asked about Ramsdale, Begovic told the Daily Echo: “He has shown a lot of potential.
“He is willing to learn and has a great attitude to the game, which is most important.
“He’s a great lad and he’s a bubbly character.
“I have really enjoyed working with him and think he has a big future in the game.”
Ramsdale was handed his first taste of action for the club’s first team when he replaced Artur Boruc in the 70th minute of Cherries' 1-0 win at QPR in pre-season.
As well as Begovic, the youngster has also been working with Boruc and Adam Federici as part of the first-team set-up at Vitality Stadium.
