NEW Milton recorded their first Wessex One win of the season as they emphatically beat 10-man Folland Sports 6-1 at Fawcett's Field on Saturday.
Steve Flynn opened the scoring after linking with Brad Aspin before the hosts doubled their lead in the 20th minute when a breakdown in communication at the back allowed Dominic Falco to score.
Although Declan Seidon pulled one back on the stroke of half-time, the visitors were reduced to 10 men when substitute Josh Elmes received a straight red in the 53rd minute following an altercation. Linnets right-back Zachary Phelps was booked.
Milton capitalised on their numerical advantage when Aspin and Lyam Teixceira converted following well-worked corners from Anthony Harris.
Flynn got his second and their fifth from the penalty spot before Lewis Brailey combined well with second-half substitute Dan Molyneaux who found himself unmarked in the box to complete the scoring.
Goals from Joe Meyer, Russ Dyer, Callum O'Hare and Martin Smith earned Verwood a 4-0 win over East Cowes Vics at Potterne Park.
River Smith (two), Elliot Peck and Mike Cowland were on target for Ringwood in their eventful 8-4 defeat at Alton.
