STEADFAST Charlie Daniels reckons there is little chance of him following in Simon Francis's footsteps and making the shift from full-back to centre-half.
Daniels has already undergone one positional change in his career, switching from winger to full-back while part of Martin Jol's Tottenham squad.
And while appreciative of Francis's achievement of impressing in the middle, Daniels does not believe he will end up following a similar path.
Daniels told the Daily Echo: "Franno has done unbelievably well to switch from right-back to centre-half but I don't think it's something I could do.
"As much as he likes going forward, I think I'm a bit more attacking than he is. I like to get involved a bit more.
"He has done fantastically well and has grown as a player. He has taken to it like a duck to water.
"It's something I admire but I don't think I could do it, although you never know!"
Signed permanently from Leyton Orient for a bargain £175,000 in January 2012, Daniels has not missed a minute of Premier League action this season.
A series of impressive displays last term saw the 30-year-old tipped for a senior England call-up, although Roy Hodgson never included him in a Three Lions squad.
