MANAGER Shane Traynor has confirmed he will return to the Hamworthy United hot seat – he just isn’t sure when.

The Hammers boss stepped down for personal reasons last Friday but met with club officials on Monday before taking charge of Wednesday’s 2-1 victory at Swanage Town & Herston in the Dorset Senior Cup.

Youth-team boss Adrian Perry will take temporary charge of first-team affairs, starting with Saturday's Wessex League Premier Division trip to Newport (IOW), until Traynor is ready to return.

Traynor told the Daily Echo: “I never wanted to walk away from the club and when I met with the committee, they made it clear they would do everything they could to support me because they appreciated the job I had done.

“The players held a meeting and said they wanted me to stay as well so it impossible to say no.

“Adrian has agreed to hold the fort until the time is right for me to step back in. The support from everyone has been fantastic.”

Elsewhere, Bournemouth Poppies travel to Alresford, Brockenhurst journey to Moneyfields, Lymington are away at Team Solent and Verwood host Cowes Sports.

In Division One, Ringwood Town entertain Totton & Eling, while Christchurch travel to US Portsmouth (all 3pm).
