TEAM boss Mark Lemon insists his Belle Vue troops will not roll over when they turn out at Wimborne Road tonight.
The Aces, contesting their first Elite League play-off final in 10 years, are locked at 46-46 with Pirates ahead of the mouthwatering clash.
A superb effort saw the Manchester side battle from 13 points down in Monday’s first leg. And Lemon says his team are still in the tie despite Poole’s enviable home record.
Lemon told the Daily Echo: “In hindsight it would have been really nice to get a lead to take to Dorset but it’s a grand final and stranger things have happened.
“It’s all to play for and we will give it everything we’ve got.
“Poole have got themselves dialled in around their place but we have a lot of riders in our side who can also ride that track well.
“We have a mental approach that we’re going to attack the meeting and I’m feeling pretty confident.”
Lemon politely declined to comment further on a tweet in which he stated that Pirates reserve Kyle Newman had not worn safety goggles in heat 12 of Monday’s clash – a violation of the rules of speedway.
Newman and Paul Starke secured a 5-1 in that outing with Newman finishing second.
