DORSET have it all to do after a dreadful collapse with the bat blew all their hard work with the ball on the first day in Devon.
Masoor Khan (5-13) rattled through the tail end with Jack Dart’s 109 from the middle order helping the hosts labour to 290 all out at Exmouth.
But Khan quickly went from hero to zero having been trapped leg before by Zac Bess for a first-ball duck.
Ben Williams (3-22) then quickly claimed the scalps of Curtis Blakemore, Ryan Scott and Jake Lintott to leave the shell-shocked visitors on 35 for four.
Captain Chris Park (10*) and Mark Wolstenholme (19*) were at the crease when play closed at 83 for six.
Play resumes tomorrow at 11am with backmarkers Dorset going in search of their first win in the Unicorns Championship this season.
